I'm Back!
Goodness i'm SO bad at blogging!
I'm...what'd ya know!.....Behind!
ugh.
Let's begin.
Today was a
very busy
very fun
very exciting
+
very remembered
day.
Oh, what did we do!?
well......
Take a look:)
(and if you don't take a look just yet....keep reading;)
wait, there is a part.....
The day began early.
It must!
So many ideas that could make ones hair curly!
It was busy or bust!
So much to do, so much planned,
so little time in this last day in wonderland
(I had to;)
After Mom quite perfectly planned the day,
we were off to....
Sleepy Hollow!
The real deal.
Oh yes.
Scan some pics of it to see for yourself how spooky twas that old graveyard.
(Our gorgeous scenic drive we got to drive through everyday:)
Up Next:
A home.
A very calm and peaceful home of a historic and famous author.
I think I unfortunately made the poor man jealous in his grave.
Who is it?
Well....
That place we just left to the ghosts.....
He created it.
Know who it is yet?
Ok, here's another hint.
The home is named by the great author himself.
It goes by
"Sunnyside"
Got it now?
"I am......"
Washington Irving!
Unfortunately due to time and the sad prices to see this beautiful abode, I was the chosen one to go and physically see his home.
I loved it.
I see why it was his most beloved place.
If I were asked to live there, oh duh, I would!
And after trying to practically break into the house (;my pass was only certified for a tour of the grounds. pew.) and taking 1 million pictures, we slipped away and left Sleepy Hollow in peace......until next time;)

Obama stole our Staton Island Ferry ride away from us, and we were retrieving it back.
We parked after getting a 50 way ticket on the 'no parking available' merry ground, and set sail.
We added The Ferry to our list of "How Many Different Places Can We Eat Lunch?"
Then we did enjoy the swaying in the water, the bitter and powerful breeze, and of course, the view!
It was gorgeous
We squeezed together and shuffled off the ferry.
Traffic was insane.
Dad was able to snag an NYC pretzel to fulfill Harrison's one request of the trip, all while sitting in a sea of cars.
Last stop.
A famous bakery.
Do you notice it from somewhere?
Like from TV?
Like...on....TLC?
It's the Carlo's Bake Shop from TLC's, "Cake Boss"!
The Cake Boss himself was not there at the time, but that's ok because just being there was awesome:)
We gathered about 4 boxes of delicious treats.
1 box devoted completely to those "Best Cannolis Ever".
Which we then devoured as soon as we returned home away from home.
And ended the wonderful day.
However,
tomorrow brings quite the contrary to the Cannolis' sweet taste.
Time to go home.
See you there.
