Whenever the deck looks like this:
(yes, that is snow)
These are on everyone's faces:
(These smiles are also due to both of them just recently losing another tooth!)
Sadly though, we live in Georgia.
Georgia's nightmare/idea of a "snow storm" is maybe a whopping.....inch.
It's pitiful.
It's nearly heart braking when we hear stories from Mom and Dad of their childhood (real!) snow days. Days being plural. As in, there was more than 1 day of snow.
Which seems horribly impossible here.
*sigh*
I ache, want, need to live up north.
Everything "up there" is so me.
Everything up there, is so us.
High 50's days in December is not the Mechling's perfect winter.
Here is not us.
But since we're here, we might as well make the most of it.
So, out everyone went to play in the whisk of snow on the yard.
They did have fun!
We had a bunch of ice in the backyard, so Harrison asked me to go out with him, and my Polar Express Bell.
Why on earth, you ask?
If you've seen Polar Express, do you remember the part when everyone is at the North Pole waiting to meet Santa? He comes out and everything goes wild. 1 bell rips away from the reigh deer's straps, flies through the air and lands on ice, right next to the boy.
Harrison wanted to re-create the picture of the bell sitting there on the glassy ice.
I hope I captured his vision;)
No sooner than it came, the snow was gone.
We all enjoyed it.
Loved it!
Yes, we would have loved to see a blizzard, but if a brush of snow was all God planned for GA this year, we're thankful.
It was better than nothing:)
Guess what the girls got to go do with Dad that night??
*Starring*
Jude Law

What to look forward to?
Well,
whatever comes around here that's desperate to be in the spotlight,
1 more time.
:)
See you in the light.
