This is the Day!

Yes, welcome! Welcome to Saturday! Jordan Graduating College Day! V.I.P. Day! Meeting Glenn Beck Day! Meeting Fiance's Family Day! Big "Southern Living" Look-a-Like Picnic Day!
It's,
the big day!
We arrived at Liberty fashionably, late. Good thing or we wouldn't have seen Glenn's plane:)
We still were escorted to our parking spot and some were still able to get a golf cart ride to the event.

(and that guy driving the golf cart looked exactly like this guy . Most known as this guy ;)

After being shown to our seats, some of us were in need of the....facilities.
Facilities there was a trailer. The line was ridiculously long which we only saw as a negative.
It was a positive though. If we hadn't been outside waiting we would have missed the man arriving. The way was cleared for a black SUV with New York tags. Security stepped out first. Then Glenn. (who fixed the security's guys jacket for him when he got out;) Then his wife.
The he waved at Mom, and walked inside.
Coolest ever port-a-potty visit.
;)

Suddenly the orchestra was chiming up!
Pomp and Circumstance began to play throughout the stadium.
We ran back to our seats and I quickly got some pictures of Jordan all decked out.
Liberty University's 37th Commencement was beginning.
Jerry Falwell, Jr. spoke and took some time to recognize important, special students and all their accomplishments during their time at Liberty.
Others spoke as well saying sweet and inspirational words to the students leaving them. Jerry pointed out tearfully that this was the last class who had the opportunity to be under his Father's, the late Jerry Falwell, Sr., teaching.
In Jerry's closing, he introduced Glenn. He gave us all a quick biography about Glenn and all his accomplishments. Glenn received an honorary doctorate degree. He accepted it in tears. He was completely caught off guard. The crowd rose at once in a standing ovation as to encourage him on and congratulate him.
One man shouted out (for the second time), "We love you Glenn Beck!" He replied, "I love you too. If I weren't a married and a man, we'd be good together." He was back in it.
Regrouped, he began his speech. It was incredible. It was emotional, so emotional, encouraging, inspiring, character building, witty, smart,...perfect.
It was one of the best speeches I have ever heard. He made it through. There was laughing, there was crying,
and there was utter silence as everyone respectfully watched and listened as Glenn poured his heart out to all. 35 minutes later, Glenn received another standing ovation and took to his seat again.
The Sounds of Liberty took the crowd singing, "When I Think About the Lord." More tears were shed and goose bumps were tingling on everyone's skin.
Glenn, was crying.
The graduates closed the ceremony with the reciting of The Pledge of the Graduate.
Now the race was on to get to Glenn.
(After Jordan received her roses from Dj;)
We were shown the way and waited excitedly in line.
At last, it was our turn.
We each walked up and shook hands with Glenn Beck!
We thanked him and told him what an honor this was. Jordan congratulated him and nearly brought him to tears again. We huddled together and got a picture. Then we thanked him again, and walked away. That wasn't the end though. Jerry Falwell came up to us and introduced himself, as did we.
He then suggested we all get a picture together. We huddled together again:)
I caught a few more shots of Glenn, and then we left the room.
So cool.
Now it was Jordan's time to truly graduate. We crowded into the building that held her graduation ceremony.
We sat and sat and finally, she was up. There she walked across the stage to receive her (faux for now I believe;) diploma. She posed for her first picture as a graduate.
Then she exited the stage and walked back to her seat now, a college graduate.
Done.
After combing through the traffic, we're back home. Everyone preps themselves for the picnic and prep of food and decoration begins.
(How many cars?)
8!
As we scurry around we all greet and chat with Dj's family for the first time.
After Taylor and I went crazy taking pictures of the amazing decorating, we all gather to pray.
Everyone grabs a plate and a mason jar.
The meal was perfect. The food was just right.
Everyone was connecting and getting to know each other. It was really a beautiful time. Everyone who contributed to this day did such a wonderful job. Everything looked gorgeous and all went so smoothly.
It was.....perfect.:)
Dinner was followed with those adorable cupcakes brought by Grandma Bruce.
Small groups of people were everywhere all still talking for hours into the night. Eventually the time on the clock was shockingly late and it was time for some to depart. We waved goodbye to Dj's family as they descended down the long dark driveway, this crazy exciting day,
was done.
Well, after the kiddies played hide and seek of course. (I may or may not have been one of those kiddies...;)
Good night.
:)
Tomorrow?
We......leave:(
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
