A special moment happened the other night when it was just me and my bud at home.

My bud?

First boy.

Only Mechling child with red hair.

This guy:

Oh he loves him bunches

Going to Men's Prayer Breakfast with Dad

and that evening,

spinning.

He had just seen a preview for the 2010 Winter Olympics.

He studied the ice skaters

and Apollo.

For Apollo, (Speed Skating)he puts on his slipperiest socks, grabs a helmet, and "skates" around on the hardwood.

Yup. Totally ready for the Olympics. Wearing all that.

Perfect;)

For the ice skating?

Well, this is what he did:

As I made him dinner I heard,

"Hey, watch this."

I watched as he ran 1 ft, did a 180 twist, left the ground for a milli second, and landed firmly with a big toothy grin and an uneasy giggle.

I smiled and teasingly replied,

"I can do it better! Watch."

I wasn't really any better, but to him it looked amazing.

"How did you do that?!" He said in amazement.

"I wanna try that!"

He stood back again.

Ran a little farther then last time, jumped a little higher, spun a little more, and landed, but not firmly. The noises that followed were:

*gasp*

"WoOoO"

"UH!"

Boom!

"HAHAHAHAHA"

Visualized:

Landed, tilted sideways with arms waving every which way as if he were falling off a balance beam, fell back as if someone just pushed him, and landed right SMACK on his rump.

1 second of silence passed.

Then he looked up at me, and burst....

with laughter.

As did I.

I've seen many funny falls before, but that might have been the funniest.

(btw, it is only funny if they are laughing. I know;)

The first thing that spilled from his mouth was;

"Haha, It's like I just fell, hahaha, off a, haha,

COW!!"

HAHAHA!!

Me:

What?!

Him:

aaaaaaaaaAAAAHAHAHAHA!!!

I never got an explanation for that comment.

I have NO clue where that came from.

Things like that only come from Harrison.

And that's what makes us all crack up.

That's what makes us all love him to pieces.

That's what makes Harrison....

Harrison.

love.
